Many Features Contribute to the Popularity of Baker's Texas Handbook Series:

COMPACT AND PORTABLE: One reason for the popularity of this series is that these books are designed to be carried with you to trial. Baker's Texas Penal Code Handbook is a one-volume annotated Penal Code; Baker's Texas Criminal Procedure Handbook and Baker's Texas Criminal Evidence Handbook combine to form a portable, annotated Code of Criminal Procedure; Baker's Texas Family Code Handbook is a one-volume annotated Family Code.

COMPREHENSIVE CASENOTES: Although portable, all books in Baker's Texas Handbook Series are also comprehensive in their coverage of Texas case law. This is not a short list of so-called lead cases. The author personally reads all new Texas criminal and family law decisions as they are reported in Southwestern Reporter, and writes all the casenotes. These books represent thousands of hours of research now available at your fingertips.

UP-TO-DATE COVERAGE: More than 1,600 new casenotes from over 650 reported decisions through 280 S.W.3d have been added since the 2009 editions. Included in the 2010 editions of Baker's Texas Handbook Series are over 750 statutory amendments passed at the 2009 regular session of the Texas Legislature. Statutory text from before and after the 2009 substantive amendments are included. Bring your library up-to-date by ordering the 2010 editions of Baker's Texas Handbook Series.

FINDING THE LAW IS QUICK AND EASY: The casenotes in Baker's Texas Handbook Series are logically arranged into thousands of topics, and margin markers make it easy to locate the relevant cases for the issue at hand.
